Effect of calcium carbonate content on the impact strength of PBAT
The impact strength of PBAT increases as the calcium carbonate content increases. The impact strength of pure PBAT samples was 39.36 KJ/cm2 , the impact strength was 42.38 KJ/cm2 at 10 % calcium carbonate masterbatch, and reached a maximum of 57.67 KJ/am2 at 40 % calcium carbonate masterbatch. This indicates that the calcium carbonate particles dispersed in the PB AT/calcium carbonate composite produce concentrated forces when subjected to external forces, and silver patterns to absorb the forces, thus improving the impact performance of the composite.
